Percentages

Percentages are used in many professional fields, such as finance, medicine and statistics, but also in daily life. Paying taxes, calculating discounts or leaving restaurant tips usually require some calculation with percentages. The word percentage is derived from the Latin words pro centum, which literally translate to "per hundred". Hence, one percentage of a value reflects one hundredth of that value. Use this calculator to calculate some common percentage queries.
